Monsters that pass additional summoning rights are useful in most categories, but in Ghostrick you can't Normal Summon without his Ghostrick already on the front side, so you have to use him as a Special Summon or his Flip Summon. Hard to use is deadly.
According to the rules, set monsters can't flip summon that turn, so for example, it's a little unfortunate that you can't immediately reverse a set jiangshi.
As long as Ghostrick adopts slow control tactics, it's better to break the opponent's tempo by breaking up the tempo by dividing the frame into meta-types rather than cards that are placed side by side.

Since he can only deploy Dark, it seems like he loses access to the majority of the good rank 3s, but thanks to the common hiding effect, there isn't much of a downside.
However, the biggest problem is whether he can constantly replenish his Level 3 Ghostricks.
Even considering his GY withdrawals such as 《Recurring Nightmare》, his Ghostrick has a defensive card but few development cards.
